Mind/Body Connection

✔ Exercise: Box Breathing

A structured breathing exercise designed to regulate the nervous system, reduce tension, and promote focus. By inhaling, holding, exhaling, and holding in equal counts, this practice helps ground your body, steady your breath, and support vocal ease."

Breath Support

Exercises: SOVT “On Breath”

These exercises use semi-occluded vocal tract postures to regulate airflow and strengthen breath support. By adding resistance to the exhale, they help develop breath control, endurance, and efficiency.

Includes:

  • Steady Exhale on "S" – Airflow control & stamina

  • Steady Exhale on "F" – Increased resistance for strengthening

  • Exhale on Lip Flutter – Tension release & steady airflow

Exercises: SOVT “On Sound”

These exercises maintain airflow resistance while engaging the voice, helping to balance breath pressure, ease phonation, and develop vocal control.

Includes:

  • Sustained "Z" – Forward resonance & vocal balance

  • Sustained "V" – Vibratory feedback for vocal efficiency

  • Lip Trill with Sound – Smooth transitions & breath coordination
